ft.
facility is equipped for a capacity of 600M units forming and 350M units decorated.
We are looking to add motivated individuals to our growing business!
Summary:
Operator can load, manufacture, and check ware on unit machines as well as make adjustments to the machine to produce acceptable quality ware to productivity standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Familiar with all emergency stops on the machine.
Can read and understand completely a factory order.
Routinely checks ware for defects and has a general understanding of acceptable/rejectable ware.
Use of go-no-go gauges.
Can use and read calipers as well as drawings.
Check ware for defects.
Capable of operating the Unit equipment unsupervised.
Capable of making adjustments to and operate cutters and glazers.
Keep machine clean.
Communicate with Packers and Crew Leader routinely regarding Quality of ware.
Determine the cause and corrective actions for vial defects.
Assist the Crew Leader item changeovers as needed.
Capable of adjusting machine and lehr speeds as well as starting gas lehrs.
Understand and perform Preventative Maintenance as needed.
Assists in other production related duties when necessary.
Education and/or
Experience:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or an employee or new-hire who shows the ability or related experience; or combination of education and experience to begin the training process.
- One (1) year experience with horizontal or vertical production of tubular glass vials; or a combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Physical Skills:
- Ability to complete tasks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted on a periodic basis.
